Organized by Objectives SECOND INTERNATJONAL CONFERENCE ON , APPLIED THERMODYNAMICS ISTANBUL -TURKEY May 18-20, 2005 (Wednesday-Friday) Yildiz Technical University in co-operation with iCAT, supported by lstanbul Technical University, Middle East Technical University and The Scientific and Technical Research Council of Turkey. A considerable part of energy used for industrial processes and transportation is wasted and various pollutants are emitted, mainly due to insufficient design and operational errors. Advanced thermodynamic and thermo-economic analyses are powerful tools for improving energy utilization. This conference will give engineers and scientists from universities, research centres or industries an opportunity to present and discuss results on the following topics.
